Two teachers will explore the geology and architecture of San Francisco to better understand how engineers use technology to design safe buildings in an earthquake zone, enrich our school community through transcontinental communication with educators and scientists, and experience a region rich with technological innovation.
We finally made it on the plane in Atlanta to go to SF! We made it to SF by noon (3pm Eastern.) Before leaving the airport, we were able to buy our Clipper Card which will allow us to use all of SF public transportation (BART, MUNI ...) From baggage claim we got in touch with uber for a ride to our AirBNB. We carpooled for a cheaper ride. In 15 minutes we were at our AirBNB. Pretty tired and hungry, we went to a local market and bought dinner. We went to bed early for SF but rather late for Chatt :)
